Hazel Ang is a Canadian artist with Asian roots currently living in Munich, Germany. She studied Music and Graphic Design. Her work is an amalgamation of a wide range of cultural, literary, and spiritual inferences sparked by her heritage and upbringing in the Canadian context. She has rediscovered colour pencil most recently but works with various other drawing mediums as well as oil. Her favourite substrate is wood. From 2002 to 2014 her main focus was on graphic design and technical illustration. Between 2014 and 2017, she briefly lived in the United States, where her work was presented in several group shows as well as a solo show. She returned to Germany in 2017 and has since been active in shows, art fairs and curating her Art and Literature event, Arcana.
